I am Sîan Rees of “Glitter and Tentacles”, and I am a creative entrepreneur.
I have been creating since my tiny hand could first grasp a pencil. I was the child that picked up feathers, bits of foil or remains of things long dead. I was the child that made people uncomfortable by staring intently at their faces, mapping each line, the shapes on their face and the colours I would need to represent each tone… This was apparently disconcerting!!
That child turned into the adult still inspired by the complexities of the face, the emotion behind someone’s eyes and the diverse characters in their soul.
I still find myself fascinated by the beauty of my everyday surroundings.
I often work with varying media to create my work, but my main focus is to use the bold lines of pen and ink to portray the vibrant assortment of faces I encounter in the world around me.
